Community Resources

SuccessLink Tutoring has partnered with the San Francisco Public Library to offer SAT and ACT workshops throughout the city. This program is offered free of charge to all students.

Juma Ventures is an innovative and award-winning youth development program that combines employment in social enterprises, college preparation and asset building, within a highly integrated case management framework. This creates a support system for underserved youth aimed at the singular goal of ensuring that they complete a four-year college education.

Georgetown University's Meyers Institute for College Preparation (MICP) promotes student interest and motivation toward the pursuit of a college education and provides intensive academic, psychosocial, and family mentoring support in order to help students accomplish their academic goals. The program also aims to build a larger sense of self-worth among students, who generally come from highly disadvantaged environments where education is not often valued by their peers.

College Track is an after-school college preparatory program that helps students from under-resourced communities graduate from high school and succeed in college.

Aim High is an intensive, engaging and challenging five-week summer school program for middle school students from low-income families. Students join after 5th or 6th grad, and participate for three or four consecutive summers, graduating from Aim High in the summer prior to their freshman year in high school. Aim High continues to support our graduates during their high school years by offering a series of college workshops and by linking students to other youth serving organizations and programs.

Children’s Empowerment Inc. (CEI) helps young people in Daly City and Colma, California, to succeed in high school. All children, regardless of income or ethnicity, deserve the chance for academic success. CEI creates a culture of achievement, and a bright future for our students.

The REAL ACT Prep Guide is a must have book for any student considering taking the ACT. The REAL ACT includes 5 actual previously administered tests along with explanations for every question on the test.
